Get your Blog up and running in 15 minutes or less
The first thing you need to do is choose your domain name and get reliable web hosting.
Step 1 – Find a reliable web host for your blog, stay away from free web hosting as these will cause problems down the road due to limited space, no control panel, lack of support and in some cases they just stop the entire free service causing you to lose all your hard work. I actually use Bluehost as they have an easy to use control panel that will make setting up your blog easy and fast, great customer service, Lots of freebies, low downtime and did I mention it’s only $6.95 a month. Whatever host you decide to go with make sure they have Fantastico this will make getting your blog up a snap. Once you have signed up with a reliable web host it’s time to install wordpress and get you up and running.
Step 2 – Sign into your web host control panel.
Step 3 – Scroll down and look for fantastico as seen below.
Step 4 – Click on Fantastico to get to the following page and select wordpress.
Then select New installation as shown above.
Step 5 - On the next screen simply follow the instructions on screen as seen below.
Click install wordpress button which will bring you to a confirmation page. Remember to email yourself the details on the confirmation page. That’s it your blog is live, now you can log into the wordpress control panel and add your content. Usaully you can log in at http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php. Yoursite is the actual directory in which you installed wordpress in.
