How to Optimize your blog for search engines (SEO)
Search Engine Optimization for blogs
Blog search engine optimization is a bit different than regular website SEO due to templates that don’t allow you to change the title tag and keywords for individual pages/post. To accomplish this we have to use a plug-in called All-in-one-SEO-Pack, this will enable us to change the title tags for every page/post we make. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to complete SEO for your blog.
Step 1 – Download All-in-one-SEO-Pack to your desktop and unzip it.
Step 2 – Next you will need an ftp client, if you don’t all ready have one I suggest Filezilla as it is easy to use and free. Once you have your ftp client ready to go we need to upload the plug-in for use as seen below. First open your ftp client and then find the all-in-one-seo-pack in the left hand column, next locate your wp-content folder in the right hand column. Click on the plugins sub-directory in the wp-content folder. Now right click the all-in-one-seo-pack and select upload and wait for your files to all be uploaded.

Step 3 – Open your wordpress control panel, select plugins and find all-in-one-seo-pack then click on activate to activate the plug-in.

Step 4 – Now when we create a new page/post we just need to enter the information in the all-in-one-seo-pack as shown below.

Alright we have just completed SEO of our blog page/post, but remember there are few other things to consider when completing SEO on any website. The most important is working your keywords into you content in a subtle way so the search engines will be able to recognize what your page is about and give you a better ranking based on relevant content. That’s it for blog SEO, I hope you found this article helpful.
