A large part of affiliate marketing is monetizing your site to make money. I mean to be completely honest you can have great content, tons of traffic and still never make a penny. You need monetize your website so you have multiple streams of income.


What is Monetizing?


Monetizing consist of adding your affiliate links within your content and through out your website.

Step 1:
Locate and sign up for the affiliate programs you want to promote, this can easily be done by a google search. Alternately you may also choose to use some well established affiliate directories such as Click2Sell. I am in the process of completing an all inclusive affiliate directory so keep an eye open as I continue to add to it.

Step 2: Insert your affiliate links into your content. For example, let’s say you have an article about bad credit credit cards and you have an affiliate link leading to bad credit credit card offers. It would a good idea to include that link in the content of that article.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 with all other affiliate links until you have included all products you wish to promote. This doesn’t mean put a big group of link on top of each other, keep the appearance clean so potential customers aren’t scared away by a jumbled mess.

Step 4: Verify all your links are intact and work. Doing this as you go may be easier for some, but for the organized individuals I suggest saving it until the end of each article to speed up the process.

Step 5: Constantly track your links for viability. If they are not being used there is probably a reason and if your links aren’t working then your not going to make any money.

Always remember to verify your links often to ensure that they are still active. For an affiliate marketer a broken link can mean huge profit losses.
